Aziz + Cucher, exclusively for Nying Zemo, have created designs which blend motifs from nature with a techno sensibility, bringing a sophisticated contemporary look in which intricate pattern and exquisite color interact. The artists have married their digital aesthetic with the ancient craft of Tibetan rug weaving, pushing traditional carpet design to a new level. Pioneers in the field of digital photography, they have expertly arrived at their own visual language, in which photographic and painterly techniques are blended together to create a dynamic techno-pointillism, which they now bring to the medium of hand-knotted carpets.
