  • All Nying Zemo rugs are hand-knotted in Nepal.  Our weavers use a hand-knotting technique called Senna, which is a form of Tibetan traditional art.

  • Every step of the process, from sorting, carding, spinning, dyeing, weaving, washing and packaging is hand made in our workshop in Nepal.

  • Rugs may vary slightly due to this process, which means every rug produced is unique.
  •  
  • Nying Zemo rugs are made using long-fibered Tibetan highland wool which has softness, luster and flexibility. It is the finest wool available.
  •  
  • Completion of a rug is subject to size, knot count, and design complexity. It can take 12-20 weeks.
  •  
  • Nying Zemo's design team can help you create original custom designs to fit your decorating needs.
  •  
  • Our rugs are usually made with Swiss dyes.  Natural dyes are also available.
  •  
  • Standard sizes are 4 x 6 (feet) – 12 x 14 (feet). Custom sizes are available..
  •  
  • Rugs range between 100 to 200 knots per square inch.
  •  
  • Nying Zemo rugs are produced with eco-effective friendly methods.
